Governments the G-Elements

What is the G-Element?

The G-Element is the really powerful governments all over the world, all with different goals, motives, and positions on different subjects. The governments of the world are different, not only in the people holding position but by the style of rule as well. The US has a democratic government while China has a communist one and each unique government has advantages and disadvantages over the other. Each government plays a major role in shaping the world with the laws they pass, the resources used, and how the R-Elements are affected. The governments of the world all hold various positions but their main goals are of course their own countries and not the world as a whole. Some governments do have laws affecting the environment and some couldn’t care less about the world.

G-Elements Role in the World

G-Elements have the most important role in shaping the world because they are in charge of the land, air, and water. The laws passed by the governments can really have a big impact, not only within their nations but the entire world as well. These laws affect how all other Human Elements go about their lives. Laws that help R-Elements become more environmentally aware, laws that keep C-Elements in check, and laws that just help the environment in all ways are the goals of G-Elements that what to save the world.

Problems With G-Elements

    Corruption
  • G-Elements can really make a huge difference in the world but there are problems with all of them. One of the first issues is corruption which is faced by both industrialized nations and poor growing ones. Corruption is present in the Human Element but when it exists in governments it can lead to laws that affect the world. Many politicians are corrupt because it takes money to become one and this money usually comes in the forms of donations. Donations from I-Elements are the major problem as there is always a scratch my back deal going on. Some politicians just take it to the limit which is why some laws do not get passed and others do, no matter their affect on the environment. Some politicians just pass laws to make voters happy without real regard of the affects the laws will have in the future. This corruption exists in all the world’s governments past and present.

    Self Goals
  • Another major problem with governments is individual goals. A government’s main concern is their nation and not the world as a whole. What is important to one government could be a non-issue for another. Also individual politicians have different goals of their own. For example a senator from Iowa wants laws to affect his state while one from another state wants laws better for his. The same can be said for other governments as well wanting certain laws to be passed to improve their districts. This is why many laws that could be passed are not and the world loses in this game.

    A Weak UN
  • The UN is a great organization for the world but it still lacks any power to get processes rolling. Like the US government, the UN is packed with representatives that want laws passed to benefit their own nations and this causes continually debating. The UN can form treaties and Multilateral Environmental Agreements but still lack power in enforcing environmentally policies throughout the world.
