What Does Going Green Mean?

The phrase “Going Green” has become more of a philosophy in present time and will continue to increase as a term people will use not only in everyday talk but also in industries as a selling point, in government as part of a vote getting speech, and in the media as a marking description. There is no solid definition of the phrase and there are lots of processes and steps that can be considered as Going Green.

The basis of philosophy is to go through life and following or changing everyday activities in order to not inflict as much damage to the environment or to save as much as possible through conservation of different variables such as energy, water, and others. It is not hard to Go Green by making small changes like choosing CFL light bulbs or recycling but the majority of R-Elements really do not take the effort to do so and require some motivation or a driving force to move them.

How To Go Green

R-Elements have lots of their own issues trying to make a living and this concern is even heavier in poorer nations. Most don’t have the time to consider saving the environment and some are just oblivious. R-Elements can still make a huge impact just by making a few changes like switching to CFL lights, recycling plastics, car pooling, changing shampoos, and tons of others, minor and major. If the mass of people all did those little changes it would produce a huge impact on the environment. What helps move R-Elements are the other Human Elements that can set examples, provide laws, and provide information. Celebrities like George Clooney and Al Gore really opens people’s eyes to the issues involving the world . Media outlets like NBC turning off their lights in an effort to Go Green and Governments setting better emission standards are just small examples. Industries are especially responsible to Go Green and many like Google and Wal-Mart who invested in solar powered buildings are taking steps forward.
