Media the M-Element

What is the M-Element?

The M-Element is all the media and press of the world and includes film, TV, and news agencies. M-Elements across the world have different rights and rules on how they release information. Some provide unbiased information while others use the media to their advantage. CNN is an example of world-wide unbiased news agency while Xinhua is China’s government news agency which is only allowed to print certain topics.

M-Elements Role in the World

M-Elements are very important in opening people’s eyes to issue relating to the environment and the world. M-Elements are vital to inform R-Elements with news, documentaries, and shows. Without M-Elements, issues on global warming, dangers to fisheries, illegal deforestation, and other environmental problems would never come to light. M-Elements also report locally on issues like government rules that impact the environment, corporations polluting the environment, celebrities helping out the world, and other positives and negatives.

M-Elements Need Improvement

Although some M-Elements are limited to what they can report because of government issues, in countries with more freedoms they need to really be more aggressive with stories with environmental impact. Some M-Elements like the BBS, Discovery, TLC, and National Geographic really do a good job of providing informative programs on issues that affect the world. Film is still slowly getting to the issues, mostly independent films. There can be massive improvements but it is a good sign that many M-Elements are starting to support the green earth drive.
