After attending several weddings over the years and talking to many brides, it is still hard to believe that a majority of them still did not Go Green for their weddings, not even just a small portion. Brides want that dream wedding and want everything to be perfect but often do not realize that making small changes in a few areas will not ruin the wedding but will actually cost less most of the times. These changes are to go with environmentally friendly options for some pieces including invitations, thank you cards, RSVP card, and others as well. There are tons of beautiful, elegant recycled wedding invitations that brides can purchase, usually at a cheaper cost. This not only saves money but also allows for a greener wedding. Just doing a search on Google and there are tons of recycled invitations of all types of designs and color schemes to match any wedding theme.

For brides who are now tweaked by the idea of green wedding invitations, the key is finding a design that is to the bride's favor and then looking at the material. Some recycled wedding invitations are made of anywhere from 10% to 100% post-consumer recycled papers and others of recycled fibers like cotton. Of course 100% recycled is the best which means that NO new trees were cut down in the production of the wedding invitations. Just by choosing a wedding invitation that has some recycled material allows for reuse and with so many compelling designs available it becomes inexcusable not to select a recycled wedding invitation.

After choosing the recycled wedding invitations, brides can take it a step further by using environmentally friendly ink for printing the material on the invitations. Environmentally friendly ink like the ones made from vegetable oil or soy oil are not chemically produced, are biodegradable, and are just a better choice for going green. Even brides who have selected regular wedding invitations can choose to print with environmentally friendly ink to help out. It doesn't take much effort to go green.
