Humans vs Wildlife
Wildlife has taken second fiddle, if that, to mankind and continues to be pushed and pushed out of their natural habitant. There are too many people who consider the animals in this world as just another obstacle in the world much like how trees and plants are. With the massive expansion of cities and other human projects, more and more land is being taken up with little concern on the affect on wildlife. This case becomes even worse in poor nations that are trying to become more industrialized by cutting down forests, mining, or building over nature with little regard. In turn the world has now become a battle of survival of all wildlife to either survive in the little land available that is still unsettled, become caged in unnatural habitats of zoos, or living in wildlife preserves that can be diminished or taken away at a moments notice when mankind wants the land for another use.
All these factors add up to the extinction of most wildlife on land, sea, and air that is in the reach of mankind. Fish will be overfished even with laws in place, rare species will become extinct as man builds dams and other facilities that affect the animal's habitat, and the whole ecosystem will gradually change without man even noticing until major ripples occur. There are some safety measures like the endangered wildlife list, wildlife preserves, PITA, and others but all of these are just not effective with the sharp incline of the growth of mankind.
