Wind Power

Harnessing Energy of the Wind

There is wind everywhere but the level and consistency of the wind is different pretty much everywhere. The power of the wind has been used since the first windmill was created and is used all over the world now to provide energy. All over the world there are places filled with wind farms that can produce plenty of energy. These wind farms are also beginning to be placed on the ocean to produce similar outputs. Wind energy is not even close and probably never will replace fossil fuels or nuclear energy but still offers a reliable source of energy especially in locations with high winds. Many energy corporations have invested in wind farms and incorporated them as a small percentage of their total energy production.

There are some problems with producing wind energy because to create a massive amount requires advanced technology, storing capacity, and large frames. For people who have passed by wind farms, it is easy to see that these objects are very large, take up a huge amount of land, and stretch very high. Wind farms really become eye sores to the land. Obtaining wind power is also noisy which is why smaller home wind powered generators are banned by many housing associations. Another problem is the inconsistency in winds to produce constant energy which is why technology that harnesses as much wind as possible and stores the energy is really needed. The last problem that many energy producing systems face is the effect on the environment. Wind farms take up land but can also block the migratory patterns of birds if placed in the wrong section.
